She was born in Richmond, Virginia on July 10, 1925. Marguerite graduated from Black Mountain High School in North Carolina. She received nursing training at Mission Hospital, Asheville, North Carolina. “Reet” married John Tyler Elliott on October 29, 1949. They raised four children together. Marguerite was an accomplished painter and had a passion for Impressionist works of art. Many of her pieces emphasized the study of light and color. She was also an avid bridge player and belonged to several local clubs. Marguerite was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Peggy Stickley Moeller. She was predeceased by her son John Richard Elliott. She is survived by her husband of 68 years and her children, sons Frederick Tyler Elliott and wife, Susan, of Woodbridge, Virginia and Robert Moeller Elliott of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and daughter Marian Louise Moeller and wife Natalie Nielson of Coventry, Rhode Island. Grandchildren include Rebecca Elliott, Sarah Elliott Foster, David Elliott, Marilyn Elliott, Laura Elliott, Jennifer Elliott, and Emily Elliott, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister, Marian Moeller Schnepfe of Arlington, Virginia. Funeral arrangements will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Baldwin Fairchild, East Altamonte.
